Donya Turé grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in a home rich with creativity and storytelling. Her mother painted and played the piano, while her father and mother spent years in Africa as missionaries — returning with stories that were equal parts spiritual wonder and vivid adventure. For a young Donya, those tales became the fertile ground from which a lifelong love of fantasy, mythology, and spirituality would grow.
As a child, she was rarely without drawing paper, paints, or an empty journal waiting to capture the worlds living inside her imagination.
Before pursuing her passion for writing full time, Donya operated an adoption agency where she and her staff worked to place at-risk children with loving families. She also built a diverse background spanning psychology, fine arts, dance, and real estate investment — always working toward the freedom to create.
Since 2025, Donya Turé has called the Las Lajas–Coronado region of Panama home. She is an active member of Write Along, a thriving writers' community founded by Lyndi Allison, where she leads workshops on narrative craft, including narration, deep point of view, and character development.
She is currently editing The Last Muse, the first novel in the Bennu Muse paranormal romance series; The Star Seed Hunter, an epic fantasy trilogy; The Elias Wager, a literary fantasy novel; and The Myth of Heroe, a young adult mythic fantasy.
