Author Donya Turé

Donya Turé grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in a home rich with creativity and storytelling. Her mother painted and played the piano, while her father and mother spent years in Africa as missionaries — returning with stories that were equal parts spiritual wonder and vivid adventure. For a young Donya, those tales became the fertile ground from which a lifelong love of fantasy, mythology, and spirituality would grow.

As a child, she was rarely without drawing paper, paints, or an empty journal waiting to capture the worlds living inside her imagination.

Before pursuing her passion for writing full time, Donya operated an adoption agency where she and her staff worked to place at-risk children with loving families. She also built a diverse background spanning psychology, fine arts, dance, and real estate investment — always working toward the freedom to create.

Since 2025, Donya has been residing in the Las Lajas Coronado region of Panama in Central America, where she is part of a thriving writers' community called Write Along, run by Lyndi Allison. There she leads workshops on the elements of narration and character development.

She is currently editing her Epic Fantasy trilogy, The Star Seed Hunter, Books I and II, as well as The Myth of Heroe and The Little Book on Acceptance.
